Hey guys! thanks for finding your way over to my page! I have a lot of fun here and teaching group exercise… I hope you join me! How did I start teaching and writing about fitness?  Um… I have no idea! It just sort of happened.  I’m not one of those super fit people who’ve been skinny and athletic all their lives.

I began dancing when I was 5 years old and have dabbled in tap, classical ballet, modern, jazz, smooth and latin ballroom and hip hop. Although I dreamed of a career on the stage at Lincoln Center with the New York City Ballet, I’ve got more enthusiasm than talent as a dancer. I took a break from dancing to graduate from law school and pass the New Hampshire bar exam.

Spending a lot of time in the corporate environment sitting at a desk (and eating treats from the vending machine) left me tired and more out of shape than ever. I tried different workouts, but they weren’t very interesting. In March 2009, I took my first Zumba class and couldn’t get enough! Not only was I becoming more fit, but I made great friends as well. I became a certified Zumba and TurboKick instructor in 2009 and hope I can help others discover how fun fitness can be when you find the right workout!

Disclaimer:  Sometimes I talk about diet, health and fitness information on this site.  This should not replace medical advice you receive from your doctor or other medical professionals.  I am not trying to treat or diagnose any medical problems here.  I’m not a doctor and that would be silly.  The only thing that qualifies me to share information here is that I am a life-long dieter and exerciser.  I’ve experimented on myself and found out what tips work for me and what doesn’t.  I hope that my self-experimentation can help someone not waste time with fad diets and the like.

I also reserve the right to delete rude, offensive, abusive and/or bigoted comments.  I only want nice people to play here.  Threatening behavior will be reported to the appropriate authorities and I will publicly expose creepers to keep others safe. So you should probably not post anything here that you don’t want your mother, spouse or boss to read.

Finally, this blog is just me talking about the stuff that’s important to me (health, fitness, beauty and happiness).  I don’t get paid to blog here and if I recommend a product it is truly because I like the product, not because I receive any payments to endorse said product (I have to disclose this per some FTC regulations).  Note:  If anyone DOES want to pay me off to endorse their products, I am ready and willing.  But I’m not much of a spokesmodel.  I do use affiliate links but this does not affect my opinions.  What you see is what you get with me.
