Hey Fitties! Wow, I had a super productive lawyering day. Who am i? 😉 Hence the lateness of this post. There is an inverse relationship between my diligence as a lawyer and my interestingness as a fitness blogger.
As I mentioned awhile back, I’m a bit burned out these days. Partly, the weather change drags on me. I love the fall and it gives me a little pep in my step, but I tend to over do it a bit and then I need to sleep for 16 hours straight.
As many of you know, I’m all over the place between lawyering and teaching and subbing. I use Google calendar to keep myself straight and it sends texts to my phone telling me where I need to be about 2 hours before I’m supposed to be there.
If you look to the right of your screen, my Google calendar also automatically updated this blog with where I’m teaching. Also useful for me — if I’m ever in doubt I can take a quick peak as I’m updating.
Despite these fail safes, I’m dreading the day when I completely blank out on where I’m supposed to be or what I’m supposed to be doing. Today it sort of happened — I’m prepped to teach tonight’s Zumba class but, when I glanced at my list of Upcoming Events the time (5:45? Really? I thought it was 7:30?) looked off and my mind drew a complete blank at the name of the gym (Workout Club? Do I teach there? Why yes, and I have since May).
Sigh. This is a sign, my friends, that Lizzie’s brain needs a break.
Soon the AntiRat and I will be taking a quick weekend jaunt to the Hudson Valley in New York. I am anticipating a glut of foie gras (I know, it’s so cruel but it’s so tasty. Don’t hate me, please!)
So now that you know how badly I need a vacation, does anyone want to give me advice on what to do in the Hudson Valley?
Or does anyone want to make me jealous with their own vacation palns?
