It wasn’t pretty… I ate a lot of fruit today (and had a glass of wine) but I survived. And yes I’m singing the Destiny’s Child song as I type this.
Does anyone else say “Destiny Childs,” like it’s someone’s first and last name?
So I got a great question about the Zumba Basics 2 workshop after my previous post. I talked a bit about the benefits of taking the workshop (meeting other instructors, having the opportunity to take a training with teaching experience under your belt, receiving encouragement and wisdom from Beto Perez via his instructor manual) but I didn’t tell you what you actually DO. It’s just like the B1 training where you learn 4 rhythms. In the Basics Level 1 training you learn salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton. In the B2 workshop you learn Belly Dance, Flamenco, Tango and Samba.
If you’re a ZIN member, though, you are already getting those rhythms on your DVDs and you can pick up the style and technique fairly easily through the breakdowns on the DVD. If you don’t care about the other benefits I listed above and you’re going to B2 just to learn those rhythms, I don’t think it’s worth the money. Just my opinion.
